Made from indigo grown by Mr. Toyama, a holder of the nationally designated intangible cultural heritage, and dyed with leather using natural indigo dyeing techniques that have been continued for 600 years by Mr. Asai, a dyer who is a purveyor to the Imperial Household in Kyoto. The fine dot pattern is expressed using the roketsu technique.
As natural indigo is used, the colour/pattern may vary slightly.
